Adonai International Christian University (AICU) is an educational outreach of Adonai International Dominion Ministries (AIDM), an affiliate ministry of Adonai International Fellowship Alliance, Inc. (AIFA), a non-profit Christian ministry incorporated in California and North Carolina and confers degree by religious exemption authorization in both States. 

California: The degree programs offered by AICU are religious in nature.  AICU confers degree and awards diploma and certificate by exemption as a religious institution in the State of California, and operates under the Private Postsecondary Education Act of 2009, Education Code (CEC) Section 94874 (e)(6) of the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE).  Previously AICU operated under California Education Code (CEC) Section 94739 (b)(6) of the former Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocation Education (BPPVE). 

North Carolina: Degree programs offered by AICU have also been declared by the appropriate State authority (The University of North Carolina Board of Governors (UNCBG) exempt from the requirements for licensure under provisions of North Carolina General Statutes Section (G.S.) 116-15(d) for exemption from licensure with respect to religious education….Exemption from licensure is not based upon assessment of program quality under established licensing standards.
